We launched INTO THE OUTSIDE in 2015. We decided to combine our experience in the great outdoors and channel that passion into offering personal, genuine and unforgettable adventures in the wild landscapes we love to surround ourselves with.

We spent most of 2019 living in our trusty van Winston, and spend most winters van-camping our way around the wilds of Scotland & Europe on a quest for new snowboarding, winter mountaineering & cold swimming delights!

We live a no-frills life in a little farm cottage that we renovated in the far eastern fells of the Lake District National Park, a home that we share with our two young sons and a whole host of animals. We grow as much of our own food as possible, meaning that when we aren't out adventuring we are most likely busy in the garden!

Alongside INTO THE OUTSIDE, Dan does hugely rewarding adventure therapy work with young people in crisis. You can find Becki each November at the heart of the Kendal Mountain Festival hosting to basecamp stages chatting all things adventure with inspiring athletes from across the globe!​
